What are cookies?

AnswerMetrix uses cookies on our marketing site (answermetrix.com) and our web application. This policy explains what each cookie does and how you can control them.
1. Sign-in cookies
The application uses Clerk for authentication. Authentication cookies keep the session available and support security checks. Their names, lifetime and scope depend on the active authentication configuration.

2. Optional analytics
When GA4 is configured for this marketing website, the analytics preference above controls its loading and page-view reporting. You can change that preference here or from the footer. Declining does not automatically delete cookies already placed; use your browser controls to remove them.

Our app and website also contain optional usage-event reporting hooks. Availability depends on the published configuration. We do not list cookies for services that are not established by the implementation.
On customer websites, configured tools such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, Clarity or Hotjar have their own behaviour and controls. The preference on this page does not change another website’s analytics configuration.
3. Browser storage and embed behaviour
Local and session storage are different from cookies. AnswerMetrix uses them for preferences and feature state.

Supports a per-tab visit identifier, recognised crawler/referral events and configured embed features such as caching.

The SEO embed does not itself set cookies, but it can load analytics services configured by a website owner. See Security and Data Handling for event and integration details.

Please note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging in to the AnswerMetrix application, as session cookies are essential for authentication.
