LocalBusiness markup can describe a real business using structured fields. Start with verified details and the most appropriate schema type. Do not manufacture a physical address for a service-area business.
Check the business facts
- Use your actual trading name and canonical website URL.
- Check the public phone number and the address you legitimately publish.
- Keep opening hours and service areas current.
- Use accurate coordinates only for a real, relevant location.
- Keep official profile links and credentials verifiable.
Match the visible page
Customers should be able to read the same essential facts on your website. Resolve genuine conflicts between the website and the Google Business Profile; different formatting alone is not proof of an error.
Reviews need extra care
Only use genuine review data that is visible and eligible for the relevant schema and search feature. A rating field does not ensure stars in search results. Do not copy ratings into unsupported contexts.
Validate and check delivery
Inspect the schema with https://validator.schema.org and test supported Google features at https://search.google.com/test/rich-results. Validate the live URL after applying the change.
Website schema and Google Business Profile updates are separate actions. A connected GBP location and appropriate permissions are required for listing changes. Check the proposed action and its result.
Review the proposed change, confirm its facts and check delivery support for your website. After authorising an eligible fix, inspect the delivery record and the separate live-page check. Use your CMS or developer for work the connection cannot deliver.
