Choose the checks that apply to your website and prioritise customer-facing problems. This is a work checklist, not a ranking of AI citation factors or a promise of results.

Access and customer journeys

  • Open the homepage and an important service or product page on mobile.
  • Confirm that public pages load without a login.
  • Check that intended public pages do not have an accidental noindex directive.
  • Review robots.txt separately for search, training and user-triggered crawlers.
  • Use crawlable internal links to your important pages.
  • Check sitemap URLs against the pages you intend to publish.
  • Repair broken enquiry, booking or purchase links.

Business facts and useful content

  • State your actual business name and what you offer.
  • Keep contact details and service areas accurate.
  • Explain important inclusions and exclusions.
  • Answer questions from real customer enquiries.
  • Substantiate prices, qualifications and outcome claims.
  • Update outdated information without inventing a publication history.

Metadata and structured data

  • Write a clear title and accurate summary for each important page.
  • Review canonical URLs for duplicates and pagination.
  • Check social previews for the important pages.
  • Describe informative images accurately and preserve appropriate empty alt text on decorative images.
  • Choose schema types that match the page.
  • Make structured data consistent with visible facts.
  • Check for conflicting theme or plugin markup.
  • Validate the live markup with an appropriate tool.

Recorded evidence

  • Record the current completed scan and its coverage.
  • Keep delivery receipts separate from live verification.
  • Compare provider responses using consistent queries and dates.
  • Check your analytics and enquiry records before claiming business impact.

Review the proposed change, confirm its facts and check delivery support for your website. After authorising an eligible fix, inspect the delivery record and the separate live-page check. Use your CMS or developer for work the connection cannot deliver.

Start from the findings you already have. Run a fresh scan when the site has changed or the evidence is too old for your decision, and check your plan allowances first. Saved reports remain available without starting another analysis.
